Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

You knew they'd nail the intro, that's a given. Respawn and EA had too much on the line to trip out of the gate. Pulling off a complete arc for not only the game, but for so many characters and supporting characters was what was truly unexpected. The scope of adventure and the thrill of pulling off the impossible with a ragtag group of underdogs is the best of Star Wars. It was the best for video games this year, too.
