It's hard not to compare modern arcade action games with the classic arcade games they are pulling from. It really does a disservice to Housemarque's creativity and excellent game design execution that they bring to all of their titles. I blindly bought Nex Machina out of trust for the developer and I was not disappointed.
All of my arcade pleasure centers fired at once. Twin stick shooting as tight as ever. Human survivors to rescue that push my skills on every board. Banging soundtrack. The speed of the game carries over to the continues as it takes a conscious effort to not keep playing. Hell, it makes continuing feel like I was putting in another quarter. Good luck on your evolution, Housemarque. Thanks for one last awesome arcade ride, Nex Machina.
