I've talked a lot this year about my continued waning interest in modern sports. I have a lot of ideas about how to improve my favorites, but I wasn't thinking as big as Supergiant. Sports need bigger stakes. Pyre suggests less games on the schedule so that each game matters more. The games should also be played by society's exiles so that the winners are offered a chance to return home. Also, dunks. Magic dunks. Explosive magic dunks.

Sure the characters, story, and atmosphere of Pyre all meet the fantastic standard that Supergiant fans love. For once though, I just wanted the story to get out of the way so I could just play. Pyre was unexpectedly my favorite new sports game of the year. Let me know when it's game time and we'll jam. Thanks for the cool jerseys, Pyre.
